We had such a wonderful stay at the Saint Nicholas Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado. This place is incredibly cozy and full of old world charm that makes you feel relaxed the moment you walk in. The historic character of the building adds so much personality, yet everything is kept comfortable and welcoming. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, and the pillows were perfect and easily some of the best sleep we’ve had while traveling. You can tell the owners truly care about creating a peaceful, home like atmosphere for their guests. And the massage at their spa was absolutely incredible and relaxing, professional, and the perfect way to unwind during our stay. If you’re looking for a quiet, charming place to stay in Cripple Creek with real character, comfort, and a fantastic spa experience, the Saint Nicholas Hotel is an absolute gem. We would happily stay here again.

I recently hosted a group event at the historic Hotel St. Nicholas and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond—warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in ensuring our event was a success. The hotel itself is beautifully preserved, with a deeply fascinating history, and the rooms offer authentic charm balanced with comfort and cleanliness. My guests were thoroughly impressed by the attentiveness of the team, the unique atmosphere, and the genuine care taken to accommodate our needs. It's rare to find a place that so perfectly combines history, hospitality, and heart. If you’re looking for a unique stay and exceptional customer service, the Hotel St. Nicholas truly delivers. Highly recommended!

We stayed in room 1, which had a king bed as well as a trundle bed and en-suite bathroom. There was an amazing clawed bathtub/shower and lovely tiled floor. Being a historic hotel, space heaters were provided if needed as well. The complimentary snacks, water, coffee was very much appreciated. We found the bed very comfortable and had a good night of sleep. We enjoyed the opportunity to peek into any unoccupied rooms. Each room was unique. If you love historic buildings and Victorian architecture, then this is a lovely hotel to stay in. There is parking available behind the hotel and the location was super for those interested in visiting the casinos in town. A continental breakfast is included. Our regret is we did not get to experience the tavern but hope to during a future visit.

Charming, quiet, historic hotel! Honestly, fit the value, it was great. We spent a lot of time at the casinos but came back to a quiet room which was nice! The building is so cool and we stayed on the 3rd floor so we had a nice view of the town of Cripple Creek!

My partner and I stayed overnight at the Saint Nicholas Hotel in Cripple Creek with our two dogs for a Halloween adventure, and it was a unique and memorable experience. The staff was helpful, and check-in was easy. The hotel is a fascinating piece of Cripple Creek’s history. It is a restored Victorian building that originally served as a hospital during the town’s mining days. The owners deserve a lot of credit for preserving such an important historic site and keeping it alive for future generations to experience. We enjoyed spending time in the Boiler Room Bar, which has a great atmosphere and ties in nicely with the building’s history. We didn’t see any ghosts, but we did hear footsteps in the attic around 3 a.m.! A spooky touch for a Halloween stay! If you’re interested in haunted history, preservation, and staying somewhere with real character and a story to tell, the Saint Nicholas Hotel is definitely worth a visit.

We have stayed here so many times for the last 20 years and this place keeps getting better. The boiler room (A speakeasy type bar) is the best bar, the best kept secret in Colorado... you can visit this bar and have wonderful drinks at a great price (like most bars, you do not have to reserve a room to patronize this awesome place to have a drink). The hotel itself, is historical, spooky and fantastic all at the same time !! Any of the recent complaints, 1 star reviews..?? Probably has more to do with the intoxicated people staying here than this wonderful establishment and it's new owners... THEY ARE WONDERFUL !!!

The place was extremely clean and welcoming with the staff offering a small tour and sharing some fun history facts about the place. It is a short walk to the casinos as well. The beds were nice memory foam and quite spacious with great views from any of our windows. The place is older keeping a lot of its charm so creaky floorboards were abundant so I was worried my steps were disturbing anyone staying below us but that didn't seem to be an issue.

Great experience staying here!!!! Front desk person was super nice and friendly. Very historical place with lots of artifacts and such a rich history!!!! This is what I was looking for. The free continental breakfast was just enough and the coffee was good. We went to their tavern in the building but was a bit small so I retired to our room I was feeling a bit enclosed in there.
